Seguro que te llevas alguna sorpresa al descubrir qué canciones han superado la cifra de mil millones (el billón yanqui) de descargas/ escuchas en Spotify.

Queen es el grupo que está a la cabeza junto a Red Hot Chili Peppers porque ambos tienen seis temas que han pasado esa cifra redonda: Las de Queen son “Bohemian rhapsody” (la composición líder, por encima de los dos mil millones), “Don’t stop me now”, “Another one bites the dust”, “Under pressure”, “We will rock you” y «Crazy little thing called love», y las de RHCP: “Californication”, “Under the bridge”, «Can’t stop», «Otherside», «Snow (Hey oh)» y «Scar tissue». Les sigue Arctic Monkeys con cinco canciones.

La sorpresa nos la llevamos al comprobar que The Beatles sólo han conseguido superar el millón con un solo tema: “Here comes the sun”, al igual que The Rolling Stones (“Paint it black”).

Guns N’ Roses tiene muy buenas cifras pues cuatro de sus temas han sido escuchados hasta poder superar esta barrera de los mil millones: «November rain», “Sweet child o’ mine”, “Welcome to the jungle” y «Paradise city».

En cuanto a grandes clásicos del hard rock, AC/DC tiene cuatro (“Back in black”, “Thunderstruck”, “Highway to hell” y «You shook me all night long»), Aerosmith dos (“Dream on” y “I don’t want to miss a thing”) y Black Sabbath sólo una (“Paranoid”).

Las dos de Bon Jovi son “Livin’ on a prayer” y «You give love a bad name». Bryan Adams tiene una (“Summer of 69”), mientras que una banda clásica como Credence Clearwater Revival cuenta con tres: «Bad moon rising», “Have you ever seen the rain” y “Fortunate son”.

Otros destacados, y aquí también te puedes sorprender, son: Green Day – “Basket case” y “American diot”-, Linkin Park -“In the end” y “Numb”-, Maneskin -“Beggin’” y «I wanna be your slave»-, Metallica -“Enter sandman” y “Nothing else matters”-, Nirvana –“Smells like teen spirit” y “Come as you are”-, System Of A Down -“Chop suey!” y «Toxicity»-, y Toto –“Hold the line” y “Africa”-.

Grupos que pueden presumir de tener al menos un tema con más de un millón de escuchas/ descargas son Evanescence (“Bring me to life”), Foo Fighters (“Everlong”), Journey (“Don’t stop believin’”), KISS (“I was made for loving’ you”), Led Zeppelin (“Starway to heaven”), Lynyrd Skynyrd (“Sweet home Alabama”), Nickelback («How you remind me»), Rage Against The Machine (“Killing in the name”) y Survivor (“Eye of the tiger”).
